The Alaskan Klee Kai breed was developed by : Linda S. Spurlin . Spurlin began breeding dogs in the early 1970s, which she called “Klee Kai”. She wanted to breed a smaller version of the Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky that would be suitable as a companion dog for active people.
The Alaskan Klee Kai is thought to contain Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies and possibly Schipperkes in its developmental history. This breed was developed primarily for people who love the look and personality of sled dogs but live in an urban environment with limited space.

Appearance
